

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Kathryn M. Cornwell beloved mother, wife, and friend, on February 26, 2026, at the age of 87. She departed this world peacefully, surrounded by loved ones.
Kathryn was born on January 29, 1939, in Mishawaka, Indiana, and was known for her warmth, generosity, and unwavering kindness. Her effective teaching and compassion influenced many.
Kathryn is survived by her children, Kathy Jane Cornwell, Husband (Jason Foster) and son David Cornwell, wife (Lori), her two granddaughters Sarah 18 and Lilly 16, and by her brother Dennis Strycker, and will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Marvin Cornwell.
A devoted first grade teacher for over 40 years, Kathryn found joy in teaching children to read, teaching Vacation Bible School and Sunday School. Her entire life was devoted to serving God and teaching children. Her legacy of love, kindness, and integrity will continue to inspire all who knew her.
A celebration of Kathryn's life will be held on April 6, 2026, at Redeemer Lutheran Church at 5 P.M. Friends and family are invited to gather and honor her memory.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Redeemer Lutheran Church in Kathryn’s name.
Kathryn will be forever remembered in our hearts. May she rest in peace.
