Kenny graduated today! We got to call him KennyMac, Ken, Dad, Papa, Pop’s, and father in law. But the best thing I got to call him was friend. This was not an easy accomplishment considering I married his daughter. I can tell from personal experience when you marry the daughter of a man’s man, war hero Master Chief in the U.S. Navy well things are not just served up on a silver platter. Then I found out Kenny liked to fish! He fished, I fished then we fished are you picking up what I’m putting down? That’s right we were friends and the rest was history all sealed by bait tackle rods & reels. They say true friends feel your pain. I’ll never forget the day I saw Kenny cry giant ship wreak tears when he caught a 35 pound Redfish which was to big and out of season and Captain told Kenny he would have to throw it back. If you know Kenny there was discussion, words, gestures and I’m pretty sure a few names but Kenny did finally follow orders and throw the fish back. I cried also as I watched my dinner swim away. This would not be the first or last time we cried together as friends. I remember sitting in church and hearing the pastor as he shared the good news of Jesus Christ. How you could know for certain if you died you would be hammer down and heaven bound. I watched Kenny eyes wide open, man’s man, Master Chief go straight up to that preacher man and tell him he wanted to be saved. With tears once again in both are eyes, I watch my friend as he Prayed and asked Jesus to save what had been lost. So Kenny graduated today to streets of gold, fishing in heavenly water with Jesus for 35 pound Redfish! Love and miss you already please keep a fishing pole, bait and tackle ready for me.

BUCS McDaniels, "Ken" to a lot of us lucky ones. A better man, I believe I have never met. Ken was my supervisor at two different duty stations, Iceland and Florida as fellow Navy SEABEES. Ken welcomed me, my wife Linda and our son Danny into his family. During our time together he gave me great advice both professional and personal on many occasions. He helped me see the error of my ways on the rare occasion, (well deserved most likely) more often than not. Now that I am older and theoretically smarter, I know that I am a better man because of Ken McDaniels and the guidance that he gave me. 
The world and my life are a better because he was in it.

Served with Ken back in the 80s at CBU-402 Pensacola, I am very saddened Ken has left us, He was a good man and a pleasure to work with, My sincere condolences to friends and family, RIP Ken, we have the watch

Was thankful of Kenneth to invite me to a deep sea fishing adventure in the deep south of Louisiana.  Was great times spent on a charter boat. He will be missed and may the Good  lord rest his soul in heaven.  Have many fond memories of him.
