Kenneth Ray Toole

He was married on September 7, 1968 to Donna Jackson, they celebrated 56 years of marriage.

Ken was introduced to baseball by his father, who coached him while he enjoyed playing it at Myrtle Grove Dixie Youth winning several World Series Championships. At Escambia High School, his team won 2 consecutive State Championships in 1964 and 1965. He received baseball scholarships to PJC and FSU.

Ken was a long time member of Ensley Church of the Nazarene where he taught, held several offices, and played on the church softball team.

Kenny coached youth league teams at NEP.

After college, Ken worked as a home builder with Jarrett Shop Builders and Jackson Homes. He then worked as a housing inspector for the city of Pensacola.

Ken is survived by his wife of 56 years, Donna Jackson Toole; daughter, Trina Wynn (Mike); son, Zach Toole (Katie); grandchildren: Ashley Reaves Hakle (Jake), Zachary William Toole and Ciara Toole; brother Donald Toole (Patty); sister-in-law, Patricia Toole; nephew, Bobby Toole (Carla); nieces: Robin Bradley (Leon), Cindy Ritchie (Ernie), Jennifer Godwin (Jason); and his Jackson Family: Jarrett (Marcia), Ramona (Chris), Joel (Annette), Valli Jane, and Matt (Windy).

He was predeceased by his parents: Jay Toole Jr. and Dora Mea Toole; brother, Robert Toole; sister, Dora Marie Toole; grandparents: Pat Cherry, Leola Cherry, and Louise Martin; and in-laws, Calvin and Sue Jackson.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Cottage J at Homestead Village for their loving care for Kenny in his final days. We appreciate Emerald Coast Hospice for their care and concern especially Nurse Betsy, CNA Breanna, and Chaplain Gail.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ensley Church of the Nazarene or Emerald Coast Hospice.

Rev. Josh Moore will be officiating a celebration of Ken's life at Eastern Gate Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home, 1985 West Nine Mile Rd., Pensacola, Fl 32534 beginning at 10:00 am. A visitation will be held from 9:00 am - 10:00 am in the chapel of Eastern Memorial Funeral Home.
