Lina Frances Allen Beall, 70, of Gulf Breeze FL, passed away on April 20, 2025. Lina was born in Columbia, Mississippi to parents Frank and Evelyn Allen on May 15, 1954. She and her family lived on the family farm raising corn, cotton, and cattle, where she was instilled with a strong work ethic and family values. She loved her family and spent much of her time with her grandmother, who, as a role model, helped instill many of those values. She attended school in Bassfield, Mississippi and excelled; consistently remaining in the top of her class. She was actively involved in sports and music during her education years and became accomplished in both piano and organ as a part of her church family. Lina continued her education by obtaining her bachelor’s degree in Social Work where she showed her work ethic by graduating a year early! Lina took her first job at the Columbia Training School as a counselor. There she met her soon-to-be husband, Charlie Beall. In November 1975, the two married and settled down in Columbia, Mississippi to start their lives together. After relocating to Columbus, Mississippi, Lina began a career with Community Counseling Services where she spent over 30 years , counseling, developing and running programs in mental health. She specialized in developing programs for: Drug and Alcohol abuse, Youth counseling, and individuals with mental illness. She spent her life caring for others and was devoted to making sure that others were loved. While in Columbus, Lina was also an active member of First Baptist Church and was very involved in her Sunday School.
Aside from Lina’s career, she was devoted to her family. She spent many long hours baking for any occasion, celebrating a birthday party or traveling to sporting events with Charlie and the girls. Lina loved the holidays – it was a time and reason to have a good time and celebrate – and that she did! Christmas was particularly special to her, and she made sure that her family and loved ones felt the Christmas spirit with several Christmas trees throughout the house and decorations on every surface. She knew just how to make you feel joy around holidays and special occasions.
Lina’s retirement was spent enjoying family and the beach. Her long-awaited goal was to find a place near the water to enjoy some of her favorite memories and create new ones. This time she was able to do it with the aid of her grandson, Charlie whom she dearly loved.
Lina is preceded in death by her husband of 29 years, Charlie Beall; her daughter, Caitlyn Beall; and her parents, Frank and Evelyn Allen. She is survived by her daughter, Cam (Nick) Bostick; her grandson, John Charles Stacy “Charlie”; brother, Jeff (Nina) Allen; numerous cousins scattered across the country; and some longtime friends that have always been there for her.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
