1934 – 2011
Lloydell Elizabeth Grimes, 76, of Pensacola, died Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at a local hospital.
Mrs. Grimes was born September 25, 1934 in Pensacola to Myron L. Green and Mayda Spears Green. She retired from the State of Florida’s Health and Rehabilitation Services Department, where she was a secretary. Mrs. Grimes was a long time member of Pensacola Baptist Temple. She was an avid reader and enjoyed sewing.
Mrs. Grimes was preceded in death by her parents and four sisters, Alberta, Evelyn, Dorothy and Annie.
Survivors include her daughters, Elizabeth “Beth” Parrish, Catherine Young and Melody “Gail” Grimes; son, James A. Grimes; grandchildren, Olivia Marie Rose, Jennifer Gail Johnson and Kira Michelle Wallace; and eight great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, June 16, 2011 at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel with Reverend Terrell Davis officiating.
Interment will follow at Bayview Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., Thursday.
