Margaret Louise was born on August 4, 1927, in Bay Minette, Ala. to Terry and Ada Bert Huggins. She graduated from Bay Minette High School in 1946 and married Ens. Howard Clark USNR in June of that year. They lived in Norfolk, Va.; Jackson and Natchez, Miss.; Pensacola, Fla.; and St. Louis, Mo. before finally returning to Pensacola for good in 1969. Louise was loyal to her family, her church, and Alabama football.
Throughout, she was a good daughter, a devoted wife and mother, a doting grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, a dependable neighbor and caring friend. She loved to travel and enjoyed cruises with her husband, trips to Europe with her daughters, and visited the U.S. west coast for the first time at the age of 80. Her passion was her family, and she enjoyed most the times her squealing grandchildren played as she sat smiling at them. She served others, enjoyed shopping for shoes, loved to cook her favorite recipes, and was a safe harbor of love and comfort for four generations.
She is preceded in death by her loving parents Terry and Ada Bert Huggins, beloved sister Sararose and devoted son-in-law Dr. M.L. “Larry” Woodruff. She is survived by three daughters, Karen Goldschmidt (husband Keith), Lynn Woodruff (husband the late Dr. Larry), and Terry Miller (husband Kevin), all of Pensacola; eight grandchildren, Jennifer Estes (husband the late Jerry Zavitz), Aaron Estes (wife Emmeline), Rachel Jones (husband Jason), all of Pensacola, Ryan Woodruff (wife Maj.
