Marianne Faulkenberry

1969 - 2022

Marianne Faulkenberry passed away peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, August 27, 2022. Marianne was born April 4, 1969 in Pensacola, FL to the late Bob and Barbara Faulkenberry. She is survived by her three brothers; Mike and his wife Donna; Bobby and his wife Tori; and David and his wife Sara; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Marianne was the most sweet and loving person one could know, always ready with a big smile and a great, big, warm hug. She loved to sing and dance and listen to country music, bowl in leagues, swim in the Special Olympics (she was a better swimmer than her brothers), dance with the Special Steppers (a better dancer too), watch football and spend time with friends and family. She loved life!

Marianne also had a special love for her caregivers and the family is indebted to everyone – caregivers, support coordinators, friends - who gave so much to Marianne and went out of their way to make life better for her. We’d also like to thank the ARC Gateway in Pensacola and Leon Advocacy and Resource Center in Tallahassee. Both are amazing, and they do so much with little. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to either of these wonderful organizations that focus on opening doors for people with developmental disabilities.

There will be a service to celebrate Marianne’s life at 11:00 am Saturday, September 3 at Bayview Memorial Park on Scenic Highway in Pensacola. All friends and family are welcome to attend.
