Mary M Adkinson

Mary M. Adkinson, 98, passed away at Bay Breeze Senior Living Center on November 12, 2022. Mary was born in Samson, Alabama, on May 23, 1924. She was predeceased by her husband, David L. Adkinson, and her daughter, Patricia E. Adkinson. Mary is survived by her sister, Jean F. Arnold, her nieces and nephews, and numerous great nieces and great nephews.

Mary was a resident of Gulf Breeze since she and David built their home there in 1966. She was a homemaker most of her married life and loved gardening, sewing, and embroidery. During the World War II era, Mary worked at the newsstand in the San Carlos Hotel in downtown Pensacola.

Mary was blessed with caring neighbors, Karen Parr, Martha Smith, Leo and Mary Boors, and Linda Holston, as well as family caregivers, John and Kathy Arnold. The family also appreciates the Gulf Breeze United Methodist Church Meals on Wheels volunteers who provided hot meals and checked on her daily for twenty years.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 P.M, Wednesday, November 16, 2022, at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel with burial in Bayview Memorial Park. A reception will immediately follow the service at the Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel.
