She loved her family more than anything. She would travel to Pensacola as often as possible, to visit family and care for her parents. She also enjoyed her favorite pastimes, swimming, fishing, and photography.
Mary's family remembers her for her inspirational nature, her selflessness, and her sense of humor. She was a blessing to know and will be missed.
Her long career as a Professor of English and Technical writing at the University of Cincinnati was the highlight of her life. Professor of English and Technical writing gave her years of joy teaching her students. A highlight of her career was becoming the Director of the Technical Writing Program at the University of Cincinnati.
Mary is preceded in death by her father, Frank P. Debs, mother, Florence Sophie Debs and her brother, Brian T. Debs.
She is survived by her partner Elaine Singleton, her sister-in-law, Christine Debs, her niece, Heather Fields, and great-niece, Olivia Phipps.
She was laid to rest in Pensacola, FL. along side her parents on Saturday March 7, 2020, at Bayview Memorial Park.
