

Michael Wayne Craig, 65, of Cantonment, Florida, was born November 1, 1960, and passed away on March 6, 2026. He will be remembered as a devoted, steadfast presence in the lives of those who knew and loved him.
Michael had a full life and many hobbies. He enjoyed watching his grandkids growing up, coaching his son’s baseball team, fishing, Bama football, playing chess, riding motorcycles, an occasional poker game, family get-togethers, and Bama- his mean Shih Tzu. We enjoyed his cooking - especially his gumbo, Christmas Chex mix, and wings. Later in his life, when he wasn’t as mobile, he learned to repair watches, and liked working with leather.
Michael was preceded in death by his father, Luther Post (LP) Craig; his mother, Thomasine Parker; and brothers: Charles Craig and Tommy Joe Ashworth.
He is survived by his wife of forty one years, Leah Craig; son, Stacy Craig; grandchildren: Alexi Malone, Kaden Craig, Madden Craig, and; siblings: Jeff Craig, David Craig, Butch Ashworth, and Dixie Parker; step-siblings: Leon Parker, Hubert Parker, Cathy Larkin, and Dale Parker; sisters-in-law: Rena Craig, Karen Craig, and Lou Campbell; and several nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind many close friends at Salvation Army, Alono Club Pensacola and Alcoholics Anonymous. They were as close as family.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home, 1985 West Nine Mile Road, Pensacola, FL 32534 on March 12, 2026. Funeral Service will be 2:00 p.m. at Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home. Interment will be held in Eastern Gate Memorial Gardens immediately following the funeral service.
