

April 4, 1938 – May 31, 2012
Norma was born April 4, 1938 in Pauls Valley Oklahoma the third child of Jess Savage Hall and Myrl K. Kniffin. Her and husband James C. Taylor Sr. married October 9, 1967 and was blessed with forty five years of eternal love that will go on for all of eternity.
Norma’s loved ones that have already gone home include a son Johnny Ralph McClain, step son; Sidney DeWayne Taylor, brother; Bobby Gene Hall, Larry Jack (Jessie) Hall, sisters; Marilyn Tuter, Jessie Fay Hall, and from the Taylor family; her brother in law, Joe who went home to be with Jesus.
She is survived by her husband James C Taylor Sr., children; Roy McClain and wife Kathie of Atlanta GA, Billy Ray McClain of Pensacola, Rhonda Dee and husband Louis DaGostino of Savanna Georgia, and Toyna Rebecca Taylor of Pensacola, step children; James C. Taylor Jr. of Amarillo Texas, and Sean Michael Taylor also of Amarillo. Grand children include Jessica McClain, Rachel McClain, Jacquelyn Stewart, Dakota McClain, Elizabeth DaGostino, Cheyenne McClain, Antonio DaGostino. Brothers and sisters include; Claudette and husband Terry James of Amarillo Texas, Carolyn Genn Dumas of Texas, Bill Hall and wife Sylvia of Boise City Oklahoma, Helen and Husband Jack Moore of Shawnee Oklahoma, Betty Davidson of Amarillo Texas, Lynda and husband Jim Gaither of Porter Oklahoma, Margaret and husband Ronnie Tillman of Amarillo Texas, and Judy and husband Al Boyette. From the Taylor family she was loved by all; Reginald and Sonia Taylor, Agnes and J.W. Mitchell, Dewayne and Judy Taylor, Lee and Debbie Taylor, Judy and Steve Jones, Kathy and Stann Mcleod, Kathy Taylor.
Her grandchildren were the love of her life; she was the kind of nana that always had cookies and milk eagerly waiting on their arrival. Norma also had a strong faith in her Lord and savior. Her home church was Myrtle Grove Baptist, but still had a big love for all her good Christian friends at Warrington Baptist. For the last several years, it was too hard for her to make it to church so she became faithful in the TV ministry, when she was too weak for that she said her prayers in bed. She had a passion for genealogy it was great interest for her with thousands on her family tree which she all loved along with telling stories of life’s past. When her mother passed some time back she took over the job of calling and making it her personal ministry to call on a regular bases all of the old aunts, uncles and cousins those in there 80’s and 90’s. She made so many people happy and that was just her she always put everyone else ahead of her. Norma also loved metal detecting on the beach it was wonderful to see her give away her findings pennies nickel’s whatever she found to the children playing on the beach. She loved to travel taking the back roads to see God’s great creation. Norma was loved by many, friends and family alike, she touched every person she met with her love and care. In lieu of flowers, the family will appreciate donations to The St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, in her name.
Visitation will be held Tuesday June 5, 2012, 5-7 pm at Oak Lawn Funeral Home. Services will be Wednesday June 6, 2012, 12:30 pm at the Funeral Home, followed by Interment at Barrancas National Cemetery.
Pall bearers will be her brother in laws; Reginald Taylor Jr., Lee Taylor Sr., Dewayne Taylor, J.W. Mitchell, Steve Jones, Stann McLeod. Honorary pall bearers will be; Ronnie Tillman, Jack More Jr., Lee Taylor Jr., Ben Taylor, Ryan Taylor.
