Patricia Ann Colburn

Patricia (Pat) graduated high school in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She met her beloved Walter on a blind date when she was 19; setup by a girl friend. Walter was in the U.S. Army and stationed nearby. After a whirlwind of dating, they married 3 months later. Being in the military meant being stationed all over, so they raised their family in Arkansas, Alabama, Texas, France, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Iran, and Maryland. Once they became empty nesters in Maryland, they retired to travel the U.S., visiting friends and family, before settling down in Lillian, Alabama to finish their golden years.

Patricia is survived by 6 children (Paul Colburn of Hillsborough, NH; Robin Mapley of Sunapee, NH; Bambi Colburn of Toledo, OH; Tracy Colburn of Purcellville, VA; Tammy Lanoue of Magnolia, TX; and Kenneth Colburn of Thurmont, MD), 7 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren. She will always be fondly known as Gramma.

A visitation for Patricia will be March 17, 2025 from 10:30-11:30 AM at Oak Lawn Funeral Home, 619 New Warrington Rd., Pensacola, FL. A funeral service will occur from 11:30AM to 12:30PM at Barrancas National Cemetery, 1 Cemetery Rd., Pensacola, FL; followed by committal service from 1:00-1:30 PM.
