He served in the US Air Force for 4 years as a test flight mechanic, where he would repair the planes for the students to fly. After making his repairs he would then have to fly the planes to ensure they were working properly.
After leaving the military Phillip started his company, McDirt, that recycles concrete and asphalt and reuses it. He has been owner and operator for over 30 years.
Phillip was a Methodist with a great appreciation for the blessings in his life. He worked hard and enjoyed time with his family and loved shooting dice.
Left to cherish his memory and legacy are his loving wife of 51 years, Linda; sons, Randy (Jennifer), Vince (Lindsay); daughter, Shelley; brothers, Spencer (Betty), Marcus (Lisa) and his grandchildren Eddie, Vincent, Jessica, Magen, Brittney and Gracie.
A visitation for Phillip will be held Thursday, September 30, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel, 3351 Scenic Highway 90e, Pensacola, FL 32503, followed by a funeral service from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
