Raymundo C. Jose

On Friday, March 17, 2023, Raymundo “Ray” Colina Jose, peacefully departed this world. Ray was born on April 9, 1941, in Cavite, Philippines. He started his life in the United States in 1959 where he served 21 years in the Navy. Upon retiring from the Navy in 1980, he worked at the Post Office until 1991.

Ray is survived by his daughter, Tamisha Alexander (Leland); siblings: Zenaida Herrea (Edward), Rolando Jose (Cristina), Nelia Estores, Josephine Rarama (Samuel), Carlito Jose, Chito Jose (Ruth), Lilibeth Erasmo (Eufronio), Marichu Isaac; Brother-in-law, Reynaldo Campuspos; grandchildren: Lien Hoang, Lam Hoang, Pete Hoang, and Michael Alexander; great-grandchildren: Kai Hoang, Lee Hoang, and Gracie Hoang; close friends: Dennis and Susan Dowler.

Ray is preceded in death by his parents: Candido and Aurora Jose; his sister, Celia Campuspos; brothers-in-laws: Ernesto Estores and Ramon Isaac.

Ray was an avid Mahjong, Tong-its and Poker player. He loved to cook and be around the ones that he loved most. Most times, you could find him playing mahjong or tong-its with family and friends.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Ray will be held on Friday, April 7, 2023, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Oak Lawn Funeral Home, with a reception to follow from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
