1955-2016
“Love Me Tender”
Ricky John Teschel, ladies’ man, Pittsburgh Steelers Fanatic, and Elvis Impersonator, died on Wednesday, November 9, 2016. Born and raised in Pensacola, Florida on May 12, 1955 to his amazing parents John and Camille Teschel. He will be sadly and sorely missed by his loving family and friends and the people who were lucky enough to meet him.
The women in his life were numerous but the one’s in particular he fancied the most was his mother, his daughter, and his wife. He had three children Adam, Trevor, and Camille Teschel. He taught them to always select a quality hammer, that there is no substitution for hard work, that nature never betrayed a person that loved it, to always respect your mother, that making people laugh is one of the greatest gifts you can give, and that the word CAN’T is not in a Teschel’s vocabulary.
Rick had a life-long love affair with deviled eggs, boiled peanuts, Vienna sausages, black licorice, and popcorn. He excelled at practical jokes, birthday voice messages, surprising people with unique gifts, finding the weirdest things at flea markets, and his impeccable taste in fashion.
Ricky was always competitive by nature and even in death there are no exceptions. He leaves behind his benevolent sons Adam and Trevor Teschel. His beloved daughter Camille Faison. His pride and joy of a grandchild Brandon Faison Jr. and his considerate and loving brothers Larry, Terry, Bobby, Jacky, and Timmy Teschel.
Rick had a passion for going out of his way for people. He was a person of such selflessness that you could feel it in his voice when he spoke. If you needed something, he would create the will and means to obtain it. He was someone that would give his shirt off his back for a complete stranger. He was never shy of hard work. Blood, sweat, and tears is what he prided himself on and determination and perseverance was the consequence. He was an amazing practical joker and constantly reminded you when ever given the chance. He was a loving and caring father. An irksome, but yet proud brother. And devoted friend. Isla Paschal Richardson wrote, “Grieve not, nor think of me with tears, but laugh and talk of me as if I were beside you”.
Honorary Pall bearers will be Steve Weston, Ray Coutu, Brian Walker, Kevin Walker, Christopher Blake, Anthony Garcia, Louie Kust, and many more.
