Robert “Rob” Adolph Lambrecht, 65, was called home on July 20, 2014 to be with his heavenly father after a battle with cancer. He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Brenda Gail Lambrecht; sons, Richie (Kathy) and Robbie Patterson; brothers, Pete and Bill Burleson; sister, Francis Taylor; and seven grandchildren; Michael, Kyle, Lindsay, Bryce, Austin, Kaley, and Jace. He is also survived by special friends, Bill Jacobson and Ronnie Brown, along with many other wonderful friends, and his precious dog of 16 years, “Penny Girl”. He was born in Pensacola, FL in 1949, and served in the US Marine Corps. He was a veteran of Vietnam and a patriot at heart. A lifetime member of the VFW Post 706, he loved God, family, fishing and was an avid Nascar fan. A visitation with reception will be held at Oak Lawn Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 23, 2014 from 5p to 7pm. The funeral service will be held at Oak Lawn Funeral Home on Thursday, July 24, 2014 at 12:30pm. Led by the Patriot Guard, interment with military honors will follow the service to Barrancas National Cemetery for a 2pm interment. A celebration of Rob’s life will continue afterwards at Sleepy Hollow on Jackson Street. Oak Lawn Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
