

Rosemary Dawn Carr, 36, unexpectedly joined the angels in heaven, Sunday July 25, 2010. A native of Booneville, Miss., she was resident of Pensacola, FL for the past twenty four years. Rosemary was a graduate of All Saints Episcopal High School in Vicksburg, Miss and recently was excited to enroll in college. She was an avid pet lover and found her greatest joy in raising her five children and spending time with family. Her beautiful soul touched many lives and her generous legacy will live on in the hearts of her children.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Emmett & Gaye Carr, maternal grandfather, E.O. Roden, sister, Margaret Carr, and paternal grandparents Curtis & Nina Carr. She was also preceded in death by adopted grandmother, Margaret J. Slatton, and grandfather, Harold D. Mason.
Survivors include daughter, Sara, four sons, Daniel, Destyn, Tyler, and Dylan, sister and best friend; Melodi (Clay) Johnson and nephews and niece, Joshua, Casey, and Katelyn; brother, Jason Carr; maternal grandmother, Ruby Roden; paternal aunt and uncle, Donna and Mike Carr, and cousins Brianna and Brian Leavins, and son, Reed, and Brittney; paternal aunt, E. Ann Carr; and family, Sonia S. Mason. “Rosie,” is also survived by her longtime chosen family; Alan (Melissa) Mason, Samantha (Rick) Presley, Sheila (Eric) Zanco, Sara S. Mason, Anthony Mason, Adam Mason, April (Devon) Pawless, and Racheal (Brian) Wilkinson, Carrie (Scott) Jiran, grandmother, Loretta “Grams” Mason, Aunt Nancy & Uncle Bobby “Spotts” Spottswood, and close family friends and constants, Joy E. Glenn and Sirron A. Payton. Aunt Rosie was a devoted aunt and will be remember by a host of nieces and nephews; Jasmine, Chance, Austin, Alan II, Addison, Mason, Savanna, Sidney, Deslynn, and Peyton.
Pall bearers will be Clay Johnson, Alan Mason, Anthony Mason, Adam Mason, Devon Pawless, and Christopher Jones. Funeral services will be held Thursday July 29, 2010 at 2pm with interment to follow at Eastern Gate Memorial Gardens 1985 W. Nine Mile Rd Pensacola, FL 32534. Family will receive guests one hour prior to service. Our family would like to extend special thanks to Pastor O’Steen and church family of Holy Cross MCC.
