Ruby Lou Doria

1934---2010

God loaned us an angel for a while. She graced our lives with love, devotion and good cheer. We loved her intensely because we came to realize she was His gift to us. Now, He has called this lovely lady back to Him for her eternal reward.

Ruby Lou Lemmons Doria was born in Overton, Texas and raised in Louisiana. Her parents, Arthur and Ruby Lemmons, are both deceased as well as her brothers Eugene and Garner. She has a sister Helen and several nieces still residing in Louisiana.

Ruby graduated from La Salle High School in Olla, Louisiana. Shortly afterward met and married Martin (Marty) Doria who was stationed at Barksdale AFB in Shreveport. Together, they raised four wonderful sons as they travelled from one Air Force assignment to another in the States and abroad. Their sons, Michael and David predeceased her but sons and their wives Richard (Risa) and Andrew (Debra) live in Florida. Ruby has three grandchildren; Sarah, Nicholas and Jacy all of Pensacola. She is also survived by her loving husband, best friend and admirer of 56+ years, Marty.

Ruby was a long time member of St. Paul Catholic Church. A funeral Mass will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 16, 2010 at St. Paul Catholic Church, Pensacola, with burial following at Bayview Memorial Park, Pensacola. A visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, April 15, 2010 at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel, Pensacola.
