Ruth M. Bouler

1925-2015

Ruth M. Bouler, age 89, of Pensacola, FL passed away peacefully with her family at her side on July 30, 2015. Ruth was born September 21, 1925, in Walker County, Alabama. She moved to Mobile, AL, in 1943 and worked with Waterman Steamship Co. and later for Brookley A.F. Base. She transferred to Naval Air Station Pensacola, in 1967. Ruth retired from Naval Air Station Pensacola after 38 year of service with the federal government. She received many distinguished awards for her outstanding work performance over the years.

Ruth was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. She loved the Lord and her family very much. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles and said it kept her mind sharp, which it did all of her life.

Ruth was predeceased in death by her mother and father, Charlie Banks Cook and Susie Myers Cook, her husband, David Bernard Bouler, who was the love of her life and her brothers, Elmer E. Cook and Billy R. Cook.

Survivors include Ruth’s four sisters, Mary R. (Robert) Adelman of Lauderhill, FL; Nella D. Cunningham of Stow, OH; Shirley (James) McAdams of Mt. Olive, AL; Melba (Ronnie) Lee, Pelham, Al; three daughters, Pamela (Neil) Jernigan, Cynthia Susan Pohlmann and Sharon (Bo) Green; four grandchildren, John (Jay) Pohlmann, Clinton A. Green, IV, M. Blake Hammond and Andrew Green; five great grandchildren, Madaline Pohlmann-Hughes, Dylan Green, Dalton Green, Britain Hammond and Gunner Hammond all of Pensacola, Florida, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Pall bearers will be John (Jay) Pohlmann, Clinton (Cory) Green, M. Blake Hammond, Andrew Green, James McAdams and Ronnie Lee.

Visitation will take place from 10:00-11:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 4, 2015, at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel, 3351 Scenic Hwy, Pensacola, FL. Service will follow at 11:00 a.m. interment will be at Bayview Memorial Park.

The family would like thank the staff, at Sacred Heart Hospital, 6th Floor Cardiac Unit for their kind and diligent care for our mother.
