Shannon Michelle Goneke

Shannon Michelle Goneke, 49, passed away peacefully surrounded by all of her loving family on her birthday, June 23, 2025. She was born and raised in Pensacola, FL to parents Lewis and Rebecca Goneke.She graduated in 1994 from Woodham High School. She was always full of life and fought until the very end.

Shannon is preceded in passing by her parents, Lewis Fredrick Goneke and Rebecca Davis Goneke;

Grandmothers, Guynell Goneke and Bernice Davis; Uncles Bill Menges and Mark Grimes. She is survived by her Aunt, whom she was very close to, Sylvia Menges; Brother (Best-Friend), Shane (Amanda) Goneke; Nephews, Austin and Gaven Goneke; Niece, Jayde Goneke; great-nephews, Brantley and Brycen Goneke; great-nieces, Karter, Mae and Tully Rae Goneke; aunt, Gwen Grimes; Uncle Sam (Sherry) Davis and many other cousins, and family members; a very dear friend, Ms. Charlotte; and mostly her beloved animals.

Shannon worked customer service throughout her life but made an unforgettable mark on all who met her. She was a fire-cracker and was not afraid to speak what was on her mind. She "loved" her animals dearly, enjoyed shopping and collecting name brand purses. She also enjoyed music and watching movies, and can tell you any trivia about song artists or scenes in movies that she loved.

A celebration of life will be held on Monday, June 30th at 11:00 AM at Bayview Fisher-Pou, 3351 Scenic Highway, Pensacola, FL. Pastor Mike Gainey, a longtime family friend, will officiate. The family invites friends to join them for a visitation time immediately before the ceremony, beginning at 10:00 AM.
