Sharon Celeste Havard

Cissie was born on March 23, 1961 in Mobile, Alabama to Sharon Irby and Price W. Bearden. She was preceded in death by her father Price W. Bearden, her grandfather Norville L. Chamberlain, her uncle Bart B. Chamberlain and aunt Louise H. Chamberlain Hearin.

She is survived by her loving family including her daughter Nicole Havard (Claire & Bella Pollock) ; Mary Havard (Mae Weaver) and Samantha Havard; siblings Angel Irby, Stephanie, Emily and Darryl Bearden; mother Sharon and Jim Irby; as well as many other extended family members.

She cherished her children and granddaughters with all of her heart and would do anything for them.

Cissie worked at the Dauphin Island Sea Lab as a Marine Science Technician for over 20 years, and has helped numerous graduate students complete their work and further their education. She was

passionate about adopting new interns and teaching them about life and how to collect measurements in our coastal habitats. Her dedication and spunk created life-long friendships with many of those she worked with.

A Celebration of Life service will take place at the Dauphin Island Sea Lab's Shelby Auditorium at 101 Bienville Boulevard on Dauphin Island, AL on June 3rd at 2:00pm local time.
