1937 – 2013
Tula Bell Wilson Anthony passed September 10, 2013. She was born to Eli Wilson and Ella Lavina Conway Wilson on February 18, 1937 in Appleton Community, Al. She grew up in Brewton, AL and moved to Pensacola, FL with her late husband Weymon A. Anthony in 1956.
She worked at Chemstrand, Warrington Elementary, Brentwood Middle School and Pace High School as a Senior Accounting Clerk until her Rheumatoid Arthritis forced her to retire.
She was a member of Bellview Baptist Church then transferred her membership to Trinity Presbyterian in Pensacola, FL. In 2009 she moved to Pace, FL and joined the First Presbyterian Church of Milton.
In her retirement she volunteered with United Ministries, Senior Friends at WFH and later with Guidepost Prayer Ministries.
Despite the immense physical challenges she faced during her life no one was a harder worker or a more loyal friend.
To her family and friends she was a never ending source of love, encouragement and praise. She was an example of what we should all strive for and those of us who were privileged to share her life have become richer for it.
She loved being with family, friends, flowers (especially growing beautiful roses), flower arranging, decorating her home, dancing and music.
She was predeceased by her parents, husband, 2 brothers and 3 sisters.
She is survived by her daughters, Brenda Anthony and Renee Norwick; son-in-law, Glen; granddaughters, Alyson and Melissa Norwick; great granddaughter, Avery Norwick; sister, Dorothy Pace of GA and her life partner, Bill Kerrell.
Thank you Bill for loving mom and caring for her during these past years. You will always be a part of our family.
“We love and miss you mom. Give dad a big hug for us!”
