William (Bill) Edward Gonzalez passed away on Sunday, December 1st, 2024, at the age of 80 in his Lillian home. Bill was born in Pensacola, FL on January 27, 1944, to Harry and Hazel Gonzalez. He married Dolores Roselli in May of 1964. He graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi, and returned to Pensacola. He moved to Lillian, Alabama in 1974 where he spent the remainder of his years. Bill retired from the Naval Air Station as the Superintendent of Personnel. He spent many years enjoying traveling with Dolores. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was often found fishing in the two ponds on his property in the late afternoon. He loved growing fruit trees on his property, and he shared the fruits of his labor with those he loved. He was an amazing husband, father, and grandfather.
Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Dolores, of 54 years.
He is survived by a daughter, DeAnna (Tim) Mooney, a son Brett Gonzalez, and grandsons Zachary Carnes and Noah Carnes.
A graveside service for William will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, December 6, 2024, at Bayview Memorial Park, 3351 Scenic Hwy., Pensacola, FL 32503.
