Alfonse "Al" Zuccarini

He was born August 11, 1957 in Freeport, New York to John Louis and Marie Deloris (Gannatti) Zuccarini. He married Kathy Gisslen on May 7, 2004 in Peoria. She survives.

Also surviving are; his mother, Marie; his daughter, Nicole Zuccarini of Peoria; two sisters, Margherite Schoepfer and Joanne (George) Swarbrick, both of Plattsmouth, Nebraska; his niece Corinne (Stephen) Henry and his great nephew, Stephen Henry Jr.

He was preceded in death by his father and brother in law, Robert Schoepfer.

He was of the Catholic faith.

Since 1997, he was the owner of World Famous Big Al’s in downtown Peoria. As a businessman, Al was instrumental in the establishment of many businesses in the Peoria area.

Al’s greatest joy came from creating memorable experiences for his friends and family and seeing others have a good time.

Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 pm Monday, March 9, 2015 at Davison-Fulton Woolsey Wilton Funeral Home in Peoria.

His funeral ceremony will be at 10:30 am Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at World Famous Big Al’s, 400 Southwest Jefferson Street in Peoria. Cremation will be accorded following the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the St. Jude Midwest Affiliate in Peoria.
