He was born on May 25, 1921 in Peoria to Lucian and Phyllis (Allin) Schweitzer. He is survived by his wife of 73 years, the former Betty Jo Klink, whom he married on April 25, 1948 in Peoria. Also surviving are his daughter, Gail Anderson; and son, Eric (Cheryl) Schweitzer; 7 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Craig Anderson; and sister, Lucy Taylor.
Allin was a retired accountant. He enjoyed woodworking, and gardening. He was a dedicated member of Forest Hill United Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be held at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel on Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at 2:00PM with Rev. Cecilia Granadosin officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00PM until the time of service. Burial will follow at Parkview Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Forest Hill United Methodist Church.
