Betty J Seidel

Betty J. Seidel, age 83, of Peoria, passed away peacefully on Wednesday March 25, 2015 at 8:27 a.m. at her home. She was born Oct. 3, 1931 in Delavan to Lon and Myrtle (Wilder) Wilder. She married Russell Seidel Jan. 13, 1951 in Eureka. He passed away Dec. 7, 2006 in Peoria. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one son, John, two grandsons, and four sisters. Survivors include five children: Lonnie (Deb) Seidel of Florida, Deborah Moreno of Peoria, Randy Seidel of Texas, Dennis (Tracie) Seidel of Elmwood, Lori (John) Adams of Deer Creek, thirteen grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren, and four brothers. Betty was a data processor for Caterpillar for 10 years retiring in 1987. After retiring she enjoyed driving a school bus for District 150. She loved her family, crocheting, traveling, fishing and watching the cooking channels and QVC. Visitation will be Monday March 30, 2015 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Dwight Winnet will officiate. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Duck Race hosted by the Peoria Center for Domestic Abuse.
