Betty Ruth Winner, 91, of Marquette Heights, passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2025 at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria. She was born on February 8, 1934 in Iuka, a daughter of Robert Greenwood and Ola (Patterson) Greenwood. Betty married Jesse P. Winner on June 24, 1952 in Chicago. He preceded her in death on August 31, 2006 in Bartonville.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; one son, Calvin "Eric" Winner; and one granddaughter, Dusty Cole.
Surviving is one son, Larry Gene Winner of Marquette Heights; five grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Dan Greenwood of North Carolina and Tom Greenwood of Florida.
Betty's funeral service will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at the Davison-Fulton-Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home in Peoria. Her visitation will be from 10:00 am to 11:00 am also on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.
