
She was born Jan. 7, 1939, in Passaic, N.J., to John and Miriam "Ruth" (Tell) Dobrin. She married Myron "Mike" Tepper on Aug. 30, 1958, in New Jersey. He survives.
Also surviving are two children, Jill (Greg) Turgeon of Normal, Ill., and Scott M. Tepper of London, England; and two grandchildren, Jacob Tepper Turgeon of Denver, Colo., and Alyson Tepper Turgeon of Downers Grove, Ill.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Dr. Phillip Dobrin.
Bev graduated from Tyler Art School at Temple University with a bachelor's degree in art. She was very artistic. She loved classical music, all types of museums, she painted, sculpted, quilted, and did ceramics. She taught art at several of the Peoria-area elementary schools as well as Spoon River Community College.
She was the former co-owner and operator of Tepper's Pharmacy since 1968. She later co-owned and managed Tepper's Gift and Party Place in Peoria on University Street until retirement in 2002. She was a member of The Peoria Art Guild, Congregation Anshai Emeth, temple Sisterhood and Women's American O.R.T.
Beverly loved to read and had a fabulous vocabulary. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Sunday, April 29, 2012, at Springdale Cemetery. Rabbi Karen Kriger Bogard will officiate. Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Peoria Cancer Care, Juvenile Diabetic Association or the charity of the donor's choice .
