

Bobby W. Leach, 74, of Bartonville, formerly of East Peoria, passed away peacefully at 2:09 pm on Friday, December 28, 2012 at his home in Bartonville. Lois L. (Marler) Leach, 74, of Bartonville, formerly of East Peoria, passed away peacefully at 12:50 p.m. on Tuesday, January 1, 2013 at the Bickford House in Peoria.
He was born April 5, 1938 and she was born September 13, 1938 both in Greenville, MO. They were married on September 3, 1956 in Patterson, MO. They were preceded in death by their parents, Emmit and Edith Leach and Jobe and Ruthie Marler, and multiple brothers and sisters.
Surviving are their two children, Rita (Paul) Estes of Edwards, IL and Larry Leach (Stephanie Level) of Trivoli, IL, one granddaughter, Lois' sister, Myrtle Hatch and several nieces and nephews.
Bobby was a long time employee of Armor Meat Packing Company and then worked many years with Caterpillar Inc. before retiring in 1993. His passions in retirement included camping, traveling, fishing, hunting, golfing and spending time with his family and friends. Bobby will be remembered for his kind heart and willingness to help anyone in need. He was a loving husband, son, father, brother, uncle and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Lois retired from Caterpillar in 1995 and enjoyed traveling, crafts, fishing, cooking and family. She made the best fried chicken which people still rave about. She will be remembered for her wonderfully generous soul. She was a loving daughter, mother, sister, aunt and friend to all. A special thanks to Harbor Light Hospice, whose care and compassion for Lois was a comfort during her final days.
A funeral service will be Saturday, January 5, 2013 at 12:00 pm with visitation two hours prior to the service at Davison-Fulton Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home. The Rev. Jack Thompson will officiate. Burial will follow the service at Smithville Cemetery in Smithville.
