Bradley "Dudley" H. Mears

He was born August 16, 1955 in Eldorado, IL to Alan and Neva (Billman) Mears.

Surviving are his mother, Neva Townsend of Peoria; his daughter, Tesa Mears of Eureka, IL; two sisters, Julie Mears of the Quad Cities and Janet (Mark) Jones of Indianapolis, IN; several nieces and a nephew.

He was preceded in death by his father, Alan Mears, stepfather, James Townsend, and brother Bruce A. Mears.

Brad was a self-employed contractor in the construction industry for many years.

He served in the U.S. Army and enjoyed restoring old cars. He was also an avid golfer.

Cremation will be accorded. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., Wednesday, May 16, 2012, at Davison-Fulton-Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home in Peoria. A celebration of his life will follow the visitation at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. The Rev. Mary Kathryn Pearce will officiate. Burial of his cremains will be in Swan Lake Memorial Gardens at a later date.
