

Peoria, IL– Carl August Hoerr, 89, of Peoria, passed away at 6:58 p.m. Friday, April 26, 2013 at Unity Point Methodist Medical Center in Peoria with his wife and family by his side. He was born March 17, 1924 in Bartonville, IL to David A. and Rose M. (Yoder) Hoerr. He married Evelyn R. Reutter in Cissna Park, IL on Jan. 22, 1956. She survives. He is also survived by his daughter, Ruth (Tom) Schmidgall of Morris, MN and their children, Rachel (Josh) Marshall, Matthew (Kelly) Schmidgall and Jesse Schmidgall; son, Carl (Debby) Hoerr II of Peoria, and their children, Ryan (Joy) Hoerr, Cassie (Brandon) Schock, Kary (Trent) Scholl, Abby (Brent) Schmidgall and Polly and Brett Hoerr; son, Joel (Tania) Hoerr of Peoria, and their children, Mitchell, Taylor and Kirstin Hoerr. His great-grandchildren were very precious to him. Surviving are, Logan, Brynley and Cade Marshall; Carsen and Jace Schmidgall; Tecca, Kip, Denver, Montana and Cleve Hoerr; Creigh, Saige, Scout and Paisley Schock; Tea, Kenzi, Mac and Tali Scholl; Piper and Sailor Schmidgall; 3 brothers, Jim (Virginia) of Peoria, John (Dot) of Peoria, George of Brimfield; and 4 sisters, Marie (Reuben) Huber of Morton, Mildred (Art) Moser of Peoria, Florence (Thomas) Barkley of Peoria, and Eloise Meister of Peoria. He was preceded in death by his parents; 3 brothers, David, Ralph, Irvin; and an infant sister, Ruth.
Carl was the President of Hoerr Realty and Development, past President of Hoerr Excavating, past President of Hoerr Equipment and consultant to Hoerr Machinery. Carl was converted and baptized in the Apostolic Christian Church of Peoria on Sept. 11, 1955 where he remained an active member until his death. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, April 29, 2013 at Davison-Fulton Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home in Peoria, with further visitation from 9 to 9:45 a.m. on Tuesday, April 30, at the Peoria Apostolic Christian Church. Funeral Services will follow at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, at the Peoria Apostolic Christian Church with Church Ministers officiating. Burial will be at the Peoria Apostolic Christian Church Cemetery in rural Edwards.
