

She was born on January 6, 1938, in Peoria to Frank H. and Mary Ellen (Rosbottom) Kohl.
They preceded her in death along with one brother, Rodney Kohl and granddaughter, Tanya Childs. Carol was married to Elvyn J. Eberle for 31 years, and in later years, she found companionship with Ernest Rosecrans Sr., who both preceded her in death.
Carol is survived by her children; Cynthia A. McCullough of Santa Fe, New Mexico, Donald J. (Sandy) Eberle of Maroa and Daniel J. (Darcy) Eberle of Peoria; grandchildren, Brianna Eberle, Jessica Eberle, Phoebe Williams, Paige Williams, Claire Williams, Emmy Arthur, Ruby Williams, Chris Baughman, Stephanie Gray, Jeffrey Terrell, Amanda Robinson, Deidra Marcy, Lisa Sarna, Lany Stout and Jen Stout; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Carol was a proud graduate of Woodruff High School, Class of 1956. She worked at T. Haefli & Sons from 1976 to 1992 and later retired from Pearl Insurance in 2013 after 21 years of dedicated service.
Carol was a devoted member of First English Lutheran Church and a member of the Woodruff Alumni Association.
In her younger years and throughout high school, she had a great love of dancing, excelling in ballet on pointe and tap. She was known for her love of baking, especially her sugar cookies—Carol made every holiday special. Her grandchildren loved making her famous cut-out cookies with her and cherished the memories of spending that time together year after year. She will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and the many ways she touched the lives of those who knew her.
Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday August 17, 2025, at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, August 18, 2025 at the funeral home. Rev. Richard Wehrs will officiate.
Burial will follow in Parkview Cemetery.
