She was born February 11, 1954 to Melvin and Peggy (Flippo) Wilson in Russellville, Alabama.
She is survived by her father; one son, Justin (Alissa) Parks of Chicago; two sisters, Mary Katherine (Dan) Haney and Jennifer (Doug) Mills; three brothers, John, Tim and David Wilson.
She was preceded in death by her mother; one son, Derek Parks; three sisters, Darlene Wilson, Nancy Stein and Sheree Berryman; one brother, Mark Wilson and one niece Julie Stein.
She was a veteran of the United States Air Force and retired from the Illinois Department of Human Services in Springfield.
A graveside service will be held in Mason City, Iowa at a later date.
