

Charles William Phillips, 77, of Blue Star Lane in Danville, IL formerly of Peoria, passed away on Thursday, February 7, 2013, at the Danville Veteran’s Administration Hospital in Danville, IL. He was born on September 21, 1935 in Peoria to John C. and Violet R. Cookfon Phillips. He married Irma Mullen in Peoria on February 28, 1959. She preceded him in death on February 11, 2006 in Peoria. He was also preceded by his parents, one brother and one sister.Charles is survived by six sons Jay Phillips, Charles Phillips Jr., and Frank Frye all of Peoria, John Phillips of Springfield, IL, Bob Phillips of Pittsburgh, PA and Rick Mullen of Florida; two daughters Becky (Bruce) Head and Cindy (Roger) Edgar both of Peoria; eighteen Grandchildren, fourteen Great Grandchildren and three Great Great Grandchildren.Charles had worked on the assembly line at Maple City Mfg., retiring in 1985. He was an Army veteran and attended the Veteran’s Administration Hospital church.Cremation will be accord. Memorial services will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, February 14, 2013 at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria, IL. Rev. Paul Witt will officiate. Military Rites will be accorded. Entombment of ashes will be in Parkview Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Wounded Warrior Fund. Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel is in care of arrangements.
