She was born on January 16, 1945 in Peoria to Lawrence G. and Wilma G. (Brown) Fishel. They preceded her in death.
Cheryl is survived by her fiancée, Frank Vogel of Peoria; twin daughters, Kim (Todd) Still and Kathy (Fred) Sims, both of Peoria; grandchildren, Kaylea Sims, Mattie Still, Tyler Sims and Alyssa Sims and great-granddaughter, Grace Sims
Cheryl was a math teacher for Peoria Public School District 150 for many years. She retired from Woodruff H.S. in 2000 and prior to that was at Peoria H.S. Throughout her teaching years, she became a second Mom to many of her students. Cheryl spent her retirement watching her grandchildren, knitting, crafting and spending time with her family. She touched the lives of many, with whom her legacy will live on.
Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, March 30, 2022 also at the funeral home. Pastor Brock Winkler will officiate.
