Born May 20, 1938 in Bushnell, IL to Clyde G. and Velma I. (Voorhees) Stevenson; he married Pauline Marie Ditto on August 29, 1971 in Georgetown, IL and she survives.Also surviving are his son, Kevin Linn Stevenson of Springfield, IL; sisters, Lavon (V. Lee) Amsler of Quincy, IL, Launa (Julian “Dean”) Pierce of Morton, IL, Alta Gehring of Macomb, IL, and Marjorie (Brant) Smith of Eureka, IL; and his brother, Leon (Lou Wanda) Stevenson of Eureka, IL.
Clyde worked for Caterpillar Inc. in East Peoria until retiring in 2009 with 49 years of service.He was a US Army Veteran serving from 1961-63.Funeral services will be at 10:00 am on Thursday, January 21, 2016 at Davison-Fulton Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home in Peoria. Burial will follow at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria. Visitation will be one half hour prior to the funeral.Memorials may be made to Grace Presbyterian Church in Peoria.
