

Peoria – Dale Edward “E-Miami” Sims, 65, of Peoria Illinois, formerly of Chicago Illinois, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at Unity Point Health Methodist in Peoria Illinois. He was born on February 11, 1956, in Tchula, MS, to Roger and Mildred (Moore) Sims.
Dale is survived by his three children, Megan Sims of Chicago Il., Denzell Sims and Darius Jackson of Peoria Il.; two brothers, Jerry (Michele) Moore of Peoria and Danny (Dedra) Sims of Lynwood Il., two sisters, Rochelle Sims of Chicago Il., Rosemary (Segun) Abu of Evergreen Park Il.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Roy and Michael Sims.
Dale worked for many years as a conductor for the Santa Fe Railroad and retired in his career.
He was a member of St. Paul Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Deveraux Hubbard in Peoria Il., He loved motorcycles and was an avid rider in which he frequently participated in many motorcycle activities. In his past time he enjoyed hanging with his friends and listening to music at his home in which he called the “ The Honey Comb Hideout.” He also cherished his love for his old school cars which included his favorite car his corvette known as “E-Miami.”
Edward loved to say to everyone “Gucci.”
