Dalton C McKinney

He was born April 9, 1937 in Elizabethtown, KY to William and Carrie (Kidd) McKinney. He married Edith Kneebone in Morton on April 21, 1973. She survives.

Also surviving is his daughter, Heather McKinney of Peoria; and his pet dog, Oreo. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Delbert; half-brother, Glen; and half-sister, Nelda.

Dalton was a graduate of Manual High and Bradley University in Peoria. He worked as an accountant at Tazewell Publishing for many years and as the comptroller for Jumers Castle Lodge for 41 years before retiring.

He loved to collect rocks, study astronomy, read, and go on trips out West. He was a member of the Peoria Church of Latter Day Saints.

Funeral Services will be at 4 p.m. Monday, September 22, 2014 at Davison-Fulton Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home in Peoria with Rev. Gary Salm officiating. Visitation will be one hour before services on Monday at the funeral home. Cremation will be accorded following services with burial of ashes at Springdale Cemetery in Peoria at a later date.
