David Brice Gusler, 72, of Peoria, passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria. He was born on December 2, 1950 in Peoria, a son of William Harding Gusler and Irene (Frye) Gusler. David married Eugenia "Jeannie" C. Flores on March 3, 1973 in Peoria. She survives.
He is also survived by his daughter, Dana Gusler of Peoria; two sisters, Nona (Steve) Kelley of Glen Carbon and Lisa Hitesman of Peoria Heights; brother-in-law, Carmen Flores of East Peoria; and several nieces and nephews.
David was preceded in death by his parents; son, Gabe Gusler; brother, Matthew Gusler; and brother-in-law, Albert Hitesman.
He worked as an inspector for Caterpillar, Inc. for 40 years, retiring in 2009.
David was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Peoria and the Knights of Columbus Spalding Council #427 in Peoria.
David's funeral mass will be at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, February 20, 2023 at Holy Family Catholic Church. Fr. Gregory Jozefiak will officiate. His visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. also on Monday at his church. Interment will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in West Peoria.
