He was born March 27, 1930 in Peoria, IL to Albert and Augusta (Plumer) Wolford. They preceded him in death along with his brother, Roger.
Surviving are his daughter, Jill Jones; 3 grandsons, Jeremy (Julie) Light, Patrick (Amelia) Light, Justin Light; 2 great-grandsons; 2 great-granddaughters; 2 brothers, Charles Wolford, Robert (Janet) Wolford; and 2 cousins.
Donald was a US Army Korean Conflict Veteran. He worked as a machinist at Caterpillar Inc. before retiring. He was an avid outdoorsman with a love for fishing.
Visitation will be from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 30, 2014 at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. Funeral Services will follow on Thursday at 2:30 p.m. Cremation will be accorded following services.
