

Dunlap – It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Donna Hills of Dunlap. She died at 7:45 pm May 29, 2021 in her home, with her husband, Ron, at her side. She was born in St. Louis, MO on March 24, 1953 to Marjorie and Kenneth Jost.
Her parents, Marjorie and Kenneth preceeded her in death. Surviving are her husband; one son, Douglas (Serra) Moran of Pekin; one grandson, Aleister, and one step-grandson, Remy, both of Pekin; two sisters, JoAnn Greco (Chuck) Wasser of Las Vegas, NV and Nancy (Terry) Wilburn of Belleville; one brother, Michael Jay (Sandy) Jost of St. Louis, MO; four nieces, Michelle Beare, Marjorie Wilburn, Kelly Wilburn, and Amanda (Rob) Lehn; two nephews, Scott Michael Beare and Michael Patrick Jost; three great-nieces; one great-great-niece; and one great-great-nephew.
Donna studied secondary education – english at Southeast Missouri State University, graduating in the class of 1975.
She worked at Calgon Vestal Laboratories in St. Louis from March 1977 to April 1997. Donna was involved with marketing, research and development, and worldwide planning and administration. Most of her duties were administrative, but was also a corporate trainer, due to her teaching backround. She often worked with the highest level of federal and state government officials. Worked heavily with health care personnel from all disciplines. Learned a tremendous amount of usable and sometimes scary information. Calgon was a division of Merck, then Bristol Myers Squibb and finally, Steris Corporation. Loyalties will always be to “Mother Merck”.
Donna loved to fish and camp. She loved working in the yard. She had several cats and loved all animals. Donna was an avid St. Louis Cardinals, Chicago Blackhawks, Boston Bruins, and Green Bay Packers fan. She watched all types of sports.
Donna’s graveside service will be at 2:00 pm on Saturday, June 26, 2021 at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Stray Animal Midway Shelter at samsrescue.org.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Davison-Fulton-Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home in Peoria and online condolences may be left for Donna’s family at www.woolsey-wilton.com.
