

She was born on July 21, 1948 in Glenview, IL to Archie Fondren and Shirley (Allen) Gainey. She married Philip L. Jaeger on August 26, 1972 in Glenview, IL. She was preceded in death by her mother and one sister, Barbara Bacon.
Surviving are her father, Archie Fondren Gainey of Peoria; her husband, Philip Jaeger of Peoria; two sons, Stephen (Amy) Jaeger of Champaign, IL and Gregory (Jennifer) Jaeger of Peoria; four grandchildren, Ethan Andrew Jaeger, Thomas Grant Jaeger, Isabella Caroline Jaeger, and a grandson to be born in February; and her brother-in-law, Thomas Bacon of Chicago, IL.
Donna graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from Western Illinois University in 1971. She worked as a French teacher for a year and then as a secretary for the Santa Fe Railroad. She was a dedicated homemaker and stay-at-home-mom for 23 years, before working for the last ten years at Peoria High School as a secretary and Head Data Processor. She was active with her children in the Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts, Co-President of the Peoria High APT and Co-President of the Peoria High Band and Orchestra Club. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and friend.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 10, 2010 from 5 to 8 p.m., with a funeral on Saturday, September 11, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. The Rev. Dr. Ben Johnston will officiate. Burial will follow the service at Parkview Cemetery in Peoria.
