Ed was well known in Peoria construction and development, primarily from first working as a carpenter, then project manager for Concord, and finally retiring from Huber Brothers as president two years ago. He also served as an officer on the Zoning Board of Appeals in Bartonville.
Ed had three passions in his life. The first was his love for his daughter and wife, and unwavering pride and support for all of their endeavors. Next was his pride in being a Marine. He served our country in the United States Marine Corps as a Sergeant E-5, jet engine mechanic, and had a tour of duty that included Vietnam. And finally was his love for riding his Harley Davidson Heritage Soft Tail Classic. In addition, Ed enjoyed fishing, golfing, and was in the process of rebuilding his 1977 MGB.
We were lucky to have Ed in our lives, and in the short time since his passing have heard repeatedly from friends how they will miss the twinkle in his eyes and the sparkle of his smile…we agree.
