I am so sorry for your loss. I just returned from an overseas vacation and was surprised to hear of Ed's passing. I have known both of you and worked with Ed on many projects over the last 20 years and enjoyed working with him. We had many discussions about a lot of topics over that time and I always enjoyed it. He will be very much missed.

Words can not express the sadness in our hearts for your loss, for a fathers love is a very special bond. We can tell you that Ed was so very proud of you!!! It has been mentioned many times of the twinkle in his eyes and his most pleasant smile though nothing lit him up more than when he spoke of you! His chest would swell and the excitement in his voice of your accomplishments let every one know of his pride for his little girl. Be strong and continue to be: Dr. Sara Landes because it makes all of us proud of you.

To all my family, I love you and I know we can all get through this together, like we always do. Uncle Ed is in our hearts, souls, and minds forever. He is deeply missed and greatly appreciated. I am blessed to have had him as an Uncle. So many good memories....just remember, Landes story #7, do NOT put the bows with spikes on a dogs head, it hurts, LOL! We have so many great memories as a family and he brought so much humor into those memories.

Pat & Sara, you did a wonderful job on Ed's obituary.  You described his life perfectly and the way all of us who knew and loved him will remember him.  His love for the two of you was greater than anything else in his life.  He would never have had to verbalize his love for you to anyone, you could see it in his eyes and his smile whenever he looked at or talked about the two of you.

Pat & Sara.  Our prayers are with you both and your entire family. We have so many great memories of the kids growing up together. We are so sorry for your loss.
