Ellen Colleen Dixon, “Colleen”, 89, of Peoria, IL, passed away on Friday, August 29, 2025 at Richard L. Owens Hospice Home. Colleen was born on December 11, 1935 in Oquawka, IL to her parents Gillette Brimhall Dixon and Marjorie Maude Dixon (nee Noble).
Colleen was preceded in death by her parents, Gillette and Marjorie Dixon; a son, Blake Davis; one brother, and four sisters. Left to cherish Colleen’s memory is her loving family; son, Todd Davis (Pat); daughter, Kristy Darrah (Jerry); 4 grandchildren, Matthew (Karen), Charlie (Jessica), Katy (Jake), and Emily (Ryan); 7 great-grandchildren; a brother, Les Dixon (Susan); as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Colleen loved golf and was a master gardener. She loved living on the lake at Oak Run.
Cremation has been accorded. A Celebration of Life will be held on November 22, 2025 from 1-4pm at The Watering Hole restaurant at Oak Run. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Richard L. Owens Hospice Home or Illinois Cancer Care.
