Fred Morgan was truly an honorable man with great humility. After watching the Tribute Movie, browsing all the photos, and reading the condolences, I found the following descriptors of his character: friendly, funny, gentle, Godly example, hardworking, kind, mentor, respected, smart, warm, and wise. Quite a list, and I am sure his family would add sacrificial love. As believers in Christ, we rest in the hope of sharing the joy of eternity with Fred! May the Holy Spirit bring comfort and provision to the family until that time as they continue to live for God's Kingdom here on earth!

I am so sorry for Fred's surviving Wife, Children, Family and Friends.  I have been so worried where he was for a while now as I worked at Caterpillar with him.  Although we never really spoke, we both parked in the same location daily and shared many smiles and hello's.  I also passed his desk several times per day and he always smiled and I always acknowledged him as well.  I am a Widow and my late Husband was in a wheelchair and he always mentioned how no one acknowledged him or even smiled, so I always made a point to look Fred in the eyes and smile.  My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

I met Fred during the Toledo, Ohio phase of his life. We met through a mutual friend, Drew, and we frequently got together at Fred’s West Toledo apartment to visit. We attended the same church for some time. Fred is a beautiful soul. I remember him as warm, funny, wise, and steadfast in his love for Jesus. I counted him and Drew as spiritual mentors, frequently relying on them for advice, as I was a young believer at the time. We did a road trip to Cincinnati one weekend. I have such fond memories of that time. Later on, after marriage, Judi and I were able to visit Fred and Philippa when they lived in Tennessee. It was a wonderful trip. As time went on, unfortunately time and distance made the visits and conversations much less frequent but I still think of Fred’s friendship often. In fact, I just had a great memory a couple of weeks ago. Philippa and children, our deepest sympathies to you.

To Philippa and all the children; I pray you will find peace in the presence of Christ as you mourn the loss of Fred.  I met him when he and Philippa were a young couple just starting their family.  They were such a godly example to me when I wasn’t even a believer yet. Fred’s gentle and kind spirit will always be remembered.

Fred Morgan was the greatest mentor and beloved friend whom I will always have the utmost respect and admiration for. As a colleague and Christian brother, Fred was truly one of the most significant influences in my life. Throughout the 19 years I had the privilege of working with him, Fred exemplified the true essence of Christianity in his attitude, morality and faith in God. For that, God obviously cared for and rewarded his servant despite the physical challenges Fred faced daily. I have truly missed him and will be eternally grateful for having known Fred. Even though our paths will never cross again on this earth, I know I’ll see you in heaven one glorious reunion day, brother!

Philippa thank you for letting me know through Katie Padelford that Fred has gone to Heaven.  I am so sorry for your loss.  I talked to Fred on FB Messenger awhile back about Bobby not doing too well with Adrenoleukodystrophy.  He was very helpful.  Bobby got in a study in Baltimore with Kennedy Krieger but it has not proven to help him at all.  He is in hospice now and I am caring for him. We are so very sorry for the loss of ur amazing and strong husband and father.   He was funny, Godly, smart, hardworking, friendly and kind.  He and Tim had known each other since they were in diapers in the church nursery at Fairview Baptist Church,  giving them the rare blessing of a 67 year friendship.  We loved him dearly, and will so greatly miss Fred, his friendship, being one of our prayer warriors, and his Godly insight.  We praise God of His blessed assurance that we will see Fred again someday in Heaven, and that Fred’s faith has now become sight.  We are praying for Philippa and their family.
