DUNLAP- Gail L. Peterson-Forbes, 72, of Dunlap, Illinois, passed away Thursday, December 10, 2020 at Unity Point Proctor Hospital in Peoria, Illinois. She was born on January 10, 1948 in Peoria, Illinois to Leonard and LaVone (Horton) Peterson. She married Nelson Forbes on August 5, 1978 in Chillicothe, Illinois. He survives.
She is also survived by four children, Scott (Cindy) Forbes of Creve Coeur, Illinois, Jeff (Cary) Forbes of East Peoria, Illinois, Melinda Forbes of Allen Texas and Michelle (Jason) Trail of Braunfels, Texas; 12 grandchildren, Alex, Cara, Carson, Tristen, Brittney, Taylor, Kalie, Austin, Kyle and Nathan and 1 great grandchild, Laniyah. She was preceded in death by her parents and 3 brothers, Gene, Dale and Vern Peterson.
Gail worked 35 years in the Accounting Department at Caterpillar Inc. retiring in 2010. She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxillary. She enjoyed reading and card playing.
