Gary Lee Justice

He was born May 23, 1945 in Peoria to William and Ruth (Bohm) Justice. He married Carol Stratton on September 3, 1989 in Peoria. She survives along with their four children; Sherri Justice, Terry Justice (Elizabeth Blair), Tobie Askvig and Brian (Holly) Janes. He is also survived by his ten grandchildren; Cory (Halie) Donath,Ashley (Blaize) Shipp, Nick (Carissa) Janes, Zach Janes, Brooke (Junior) Nussel, Joshua Janes, Audrey Blair, Austin Blair, Colleen Cagle, Chase Cagle and ten great-grandchildren; Xander and Jaxson Shipp, Addison, Brantley and Rylie Janes, Saylor, Wyatt, Aspen and Weston Nussel.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Gary worked for the City of Peoria for 30 years. While there he was the Permit Writer for building permits.

Gary was a drummer in the Peoria area for many years. He owned “The Drum Shack” and also taught drum lessons. Gary enjoyed fishing with his cousin Steven Rout. Gary and Carol also enjoyed spending their time golfing together.

Funeral services will be Saturday, March 1, 2025 at 11 a.m. the Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria.

Memorials may be made to the Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria.
