He was born April 28, 1952 in Rockford, IL to Troy and Lola Jean (Deatherage) Martin. They preceded him in death. Survivors include one son, Jesse Martin of Peoria, three sisters: Bobbi (Jerry) Gillis of Memphis, TN, Sue (Gus) Liepins of Rockford, Dawn-Marie (Jason) Coggins of Little Rock, AR, his loving companion, Marsha Davenport of Peoria and several nieces.
He was a United States Air Force Veteran, serving in Vietnam. He graduated from Northern Illinois University and received his Master’s in Psychology from Bradley University.
He loved to travel, music, and his 1971 Targa 911 Porsche. He will be missed by family, friends, clients and the community of Peoria.
Gary currently owned and operated Martin Fager Communications in Peoria.
Cremation rites have been accorded. No services are scheduled. Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria is in charge of arrangements.
