He was born Oct. 3, 1929 in Peoria to Thomas and Edna Peterson. They preceded him in death.
George is survived by his close friends that were his family, Eddie (Joan) Tucker and their children, Jackie, Jason, Joanie, John, James, Edna and Abbey.
He worked as a mail carrier for the city of Peoria for 24 years before retiring. He was a U.S. Korean War Army Veteran.
George loved the outdoors, especially fishing, riding his bike, college football and basketball.
Cremation has been accorded. Memorial Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday, March 3, 2014 at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria.
