Glen Norris Feather, Sr., 86, of Dunlap, passed away on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at his home. He was born on May 29, 1937 in Wayne City, a son of Ernest "E.J." Feather and Hazel Marie (Legg) Feather. Glen married Shirley Richison on August 15, 1955 in Fairfield. She preceded him in death on October 25, 2015 in Dunlap.
He was also preceded in death by his parents.
Glen is survived by his four children, Dr. Sue Feather of East Peoria, Dr. Glen (Rachel) Feather, Jr. of Peoria, Vernon (Aimee) Feather of Collegeville, Pennsylvania, and Robyn (Steve) Arrambide of St. Charles; seven grandchildren, Erica, Steven, Kaitlyn, Aden, Matthew, Audrey, and Ava; one brother, J. LaVern Feather of Wayne City; and several nieces and nephews.
He was a graduate of Wayne City High School, Class of 1954. Glen later received his Bachelors of Science Degree in Engineering from Bradley University in Peoria.
Glen worked as a Senior Test Engineer for Caterpillar, Inc. for 45 years, retiring in 2005. His work allowed his family to live in both Japan and Belgium over the years.
He loved to travel, work outdoors, and help on the family farm in rural Wayne City. Glen was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan.
Glen's visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Sunday, June 4, 2023 at the Davison-Fulton-Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home in Peoria. An additional visitation will be from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Monday, June 5, 2023 at the Young Funeral Home in Wayne City with his funeral service following at 2:00 pm. Interment will take place in Hopewell Cemetery in rural Wayne City.
